Sacramento Valley Chapter of ABOTA Invites You to Nominate Our Next Members!
- May 15
- 1 min read

As you know, membership in ABOTA is by invitation only and reflects the highest standards of professionalism, skill, and integrity in our trial bar. This exclusivity is what makes our organization so respected, and it depends on each of us to help identify and nominate those who truly meet that standard.
We encourage you to think carefully about colleagues who exemplify high personal character, maintain an honorable reputation, and demonstrate significant civil jury trial experience. As a reminder, nominees must have tried at least seven civil jury trials to verdict (or hung jury) as lead counsel, along with meeting all other eligibility requirements. Each candidate must ultimately be approved by our local chapter before moving forward in the election process.
ABOTA membership offers a number of meaningful benefits, including:
National and local networking opportunities with top trial attorneys
ABOTA Briefs and timely legal updates
Participation in the American Civil Trial Bar Roundtable
Access to the National Jury Summit and ABOTA Foundation initiatives
Use of the ABOTA logo
Code of Professionalism
American Civil Trial Bar Roundtable Legislative Analysis Fund
Engagement with legislative analysis efforts and advocacy for the civil jury system
Most importantly, it connects members to a distinguished community dedicated to preserving the right to trial by jury and elevating the standards of trial advocacy.
Please encourage qualified candidates to begin preparing their applications online here as soon as possible. And if you have any anticipated or prospective nominees, we want to hear from you! Email Hank Greenblatt, SacABOTA Membership Chair, at hgreenblatt@dbbwc.com. Deadline to apply is June 30, 2026.
Thanks in advance for helping maintain the strength and distinction of our chapter.
