Invitation to Participate in the Best Law Mentors Study

  • 1 min read

Sacramento Valley ABOTA invites our members to take part in an exciting national initiative focused on elevating mentorship within the legal profession. This project seeks to identify the most effective law mentors and supervisors across the United States, distill the principles that guide their success, and share those insights with lawyers committed to developing the next generation. At a time when mentorship in ethical standards is more important than ever, this effort offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the impact of strong guidance and to help shape the future of our profession.

Inspired by leading scholarship on teaching and mentorship, this study will highlight outstanding legal mentors through a thoughtful nomination and research process. Selected mentors and their mentees will be interviewed to uncover the habits, values, and approaches that define exceptional mentorship. The resulting publication will serve as both a celebration of excellence and a practical resource for lawyers seeking to strengthen their own mentoring practices. We encourage you to learn more about the project, explore the materials provided, and consider submitting nominations to help recognize those who are making a lasting difference.
