Plaintiff's Team

  • Lourdes DeArmas, Omega Law Group: Lourdes DeArmas advocates for equality in and out of the courtroom and coined the motto “There are no women trial attorneys. We are trial attorneys that happen to be women.” Lourdes is a Partner and Lead Trial Attorney at Omega Law Group. She has dedicated her trial practice to representing Plaintiff in catastrophic personal injury, premises liability, sexual abuse, and wrongful death cases.


  • Jim Rosen, RosenSaba LLP: Jim Rosen is the founder and managing partner of RosenSaba, LLP. Jim has successfully litigated scores of business torts, professional liability claims, employment and harassment disputes, women’s rights issues, and catastrophic injury cases on behalf of a wide spectrum of individuals, local governments, businesses and multi-national corporations. Jim has a near perfect success record as the lead trial lawyer in dozens of jury trials and arbitration proceedings. He is also an expert witness concerning attorney ethics, standard of care, and responsible billing practices in high-stakes legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty matters.


  • Shafeeq Sadiq, Sadiq Law Firm: After admission to the California State Bar in 2004 Shafeeq Sadiq began working in-house for a well-known insurance company litigating personal injury cases. Since 2011, he has dedicated his law practice to advocating for personal injury and wrongful death victims and their families. In 2022, Mr. Sadiq obtained the highest personal injury verdict in the history of San Joaquin County when a jury awarded his client, a motorcyclist, just under $24 million. Mr. Sadiq is a member of the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association (CCTLA) and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He was awarded CCTLA’s 2022 “Advocate of the Year” and the Sacramento Valley ABOTA Chapter’s 2023 “Trial Lawyer of the Year.”


  • Jill Telfer, Telfer Law: Jill Telfer is a tenacious, fearless and committed advocate for her clients. She is well-versed in the courtroom, passionate about correcting an injustice and resourceful when facing opponents with vast resources. She loves her work, and it shows in her results. Ms. Telfer created Telfer Law in 1997 after working for several large firms. Opening her own firm enabled Ms. Telfer to represent victims in the more challenging cases, including lower wage earners. For over 30 years Ms. Telfer has been a trial lawyer representing people who have been subjected to improper and illegal conduct by their employer.


Defense Team

  • Karen Goodman, Goodman Law Firm: Karen Goodman represents business owners and professionals in and out of the courtroom in matters pertaining to professional liability, real estate and employment. Certified as a Legal Specialist in Legal Malpractice Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization, Karen is also the attorney other attorneys and licensed professionals consult for advice on ethical questions. Her ability to quickly evaluate the merits of a case is a powerful asset in shaping outcomes for her clients. She says that “rectifying messy situations and righting wrongs” is what gets her up in the morning.


  • Matt Jaime, Matheny Searks Linkert & Jaime, LLP: Mr. Jaime is a Sacramento native, where he attended Jesuit College Preparatory High School. He continued his education by receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from St. Mary’s College of California. His legal education was completed at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1988. Mr. Jaime joined the firm in 1989, became a partner in 1996, a named partner in 2007, and Managing Partner in 2018. Mr. Jaime has been fortunate to try a number of cases commencing very early in his career. During his career, he has tried over 45 cases to verdict, including matters involving wrongful death, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and catastrophic injuries. While most matters resolve long before trial, Mr. Jaime handles every matter as if his client’s position will be presented to a jury. He finds preparation is the key to obtaining the best result regardless of the nature of the dispute.


  • Michael C. Kronlund, Quinn & Kronlund LLP: Michael C. Kronlund is a partner in the Law Offices of Quinn & Kronlund LLP. He graduated from McGeorge School of Law in 1989. He began practicing in Stockton in 1989. He handles cases involving commercial trucking, agricultural incidents, products liability and general civil litigation. Michael is a 20 year member of ABOTA, a past president of the Association of Defense Counsel,  a past president of California Defense Counsel, a past executive board member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys(ADTA). He is also the State chair and National Legal Issues chair for ADTA. He is a board member for the Callahan Inn of Court. Michael is currently an officer on the Board for Sacramento Valley ABOTA. He was the Sacramento Valley ABOTA Trial Lawyer of the Year for 2024. Michael has tried over 100 civil jury trials to verdict all over the state of California.


  • Linda Savitt, Ballard Rosenberg: Linda is an experienced trial attorney, having tried close to 100 jury trials. She focuses on defending employers and individuals who are sued for wrongful termination, employment discrimination, and harassment. Linda has represented health care, legal, retail, and public sector employers for over 35 years. She frequently lectures to management groups, administrators, judges, and physician groups as well as various bar sponsored groups. She also serves as a volunteer court appointed mediator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court’s mediation program. Linda also serves on UCLA’s Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation Board of Directors and the Loyola Law School Board of Directors.
